The certificate of participation in the Perfil Energia + Limpa Program proves the company's commitment to a cleaner and more sustainable energy matrix.
The program, developed by Perfil Energia and Ecovalor, uses questionnaires to diagnose consumption and calculate greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions. Companies that participate in the program purchase energy in the Free Contracting Environment (ACL), replacing energy sources with high environmental impact with renewable sources such as wind or biomass.
The certificate, therefore, proves the reduction of GHG emissions and the company's contribution to reducing environmental impact, aligning itself with the issue of climate change.
To obtain the certificate, the company enrolls in the Perfil Energia + Limpa Program. It undergoes a diagnosis of its energy consumption so that the program can evaluate GHG emissions. It purchases energy from renewable sources on the free market, replacing traditional energy sources. And, after proving the reduction of emissions, it receives the certificate of participation in the program.
With this program, Metalmatrix has avoided emitting 22 tons of CO2 (Carbon Dioxide) from June to December 2024. This is equivalent to:
- 1,010 trees planted
- 9,731 liters of diesel oil consumed by an electric power generator
- 107,045 kilometers traveled by a gasoline-powered car
